Kelly Domino is a consultant at RRS with a background in solid waste management, sustainable materials management, and resource recovery. Her skill set based in technical writing, research support, and communications enables Kelly to lend support to a variety of projects including university zero waste, private corporation sustainability outreach, and trade association product stewardship. Prior to joining RRS, Kelly assisted in environmental management projects at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, as well as on solid waste and recycling program work in the sustainable materials management section of the Environmental Protection Agency in Region 4. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts in international relations and environmental and sustainability studies from Agnes State College.
Presentation Title: WORKSHOP 5 (HALF DAY): Compost U–Moving Colleges and Universities Toward Zero Waste with Organics Recycling

Workshop Summary: RRS instructor will provide participants with an overview of how to conduct a baseline data review of organic waste streams generated on college and university campuses to gain a better understanding of the current volumes, costs, and opportunities for recovery and recycling. RRS will then share a range, and possibly a combination, of collection solutions, as well as on-site and off-site organics processing including ranges of capital and operating costs for each option.
