Presentation Time: Wednesday, January 29, 8:00 to 9:15 AM

Session Title: Marketing Biosolids Compost in the Notheast: Past, Present and Future

Presentation Description: Agresource has been marketing compost and other beneficial use products in the Northeastern United States since 1984. Over the last 35 years trends have come and gone and the market has shifted. From large scale land application to niche engineered soil mixtures, the benefits of compost have not changed but the way in which we market material and educate consumers has. From word of mouth to social selling, compost has moved from the background to the forefront of the recycling, organic, local movement. What can we learn from the past to enhance the present and propel the industry as a whole into the future?
