We know that many of you look forward to seeing new and different compost operations when you come to our annual conference. We realized that this year’s virtual conference provides an opportunity to tour some facilities we would NEVER get to see in person at our conference.
12:30 PM EST: Organics Recycling Facility of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community
Yes you CAN make compost in the Minnesota Winter! Come see how, at this facility that has been the focus of several Biocycle articles and repeat presenters at our conference.
The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC) is a federally recognized Native American tribe. The facility is part of the SMSC’s Dakota tradition of caring for the earth. We take what may have been tossed in a landfill and instead create high-quality compost, compost blends, colored mulch, and more. https://www.smscorf.com/
