VOLUNTEERS

Engage with a dedicated team of volunteers and professionals in the composting industry and receive waived conference registration! Whether you are new to composting or an experienced professional in the industry, there is a spot for you on one of our volunteer teams.

Become part of the team that makes the USCC Conference & Trade Show possible! Our volunteers are at the heart of this event, supporting operations while also getting the chance to learn, network, and experience the conference firsthand.

Why Volunteer?

  • Receive a full conference registration (valued at over $1000), including:
    • All standard conference events and educational sessions such as the welcome reception and exhibitor lunch
    • Full access to the Exhibitor Hall
    • Entry to Thursday’s Equipment Demo Day

Enjoy the conference during your downtime—most shifts are just 4 hours so you’ll still have plenty of time to attend sessions, explore, and connect!

Volunteer Requirements

  • Complete the COMPOST2026 Volunteer Application Form and be selected
  • Be available for 3 consecutive days (Sunday–Tuesday, Monday–Wednesday, or Tuesday–Thursday)
  • Commit to at least 3 4-hour-long shifts during the conference
  • Attend both a virtual orientation call (about 1 hour, one week prior) and on-site training at the event
  • Cover your own travel, lodging, and meals not included in the conference registration
  • *Returning volunteers must be USCC members in good standing*

Roles You May Fill

Volunteers help in a wide variety of ways, including:

  • Registration & Welcome – greeting attendees, handing out badges, and keeping the area organized
  • Event & Hall Support – monitoring access to special events, assisting exhibitors, and helping attendees navigate the conference
  • Zero Waste Stations – supporting our sustainability efforts by monitoring stations and preventing contamination
  • Workshop & Session Assistance – checking in participants, supporting speakers, and keeping sessions running smoothly
  • Equipment Demo Day – helping with registration, safety gear, set-up, and attendee support during this exciting hands-on event
